    Research & Development Activities

    Pursuing state-of-the-art RF solutions

When multiple professionals work together, the best works are produced

The real scientists are the ones who drive us forward

We combine extensive experience, advanced technology, and collaboration with the greatest minds in the industry.

In an effort to create the industry’s most advanced RoF solutions, we conduct R&D in close collaboration with a team of engineers, scientists and leading component manufacturers.

Out goal is to continually push the industry boundaries by finding, researching and developing new technological solutions, as well as improving existing ones and putting them into practice.

This way we can help companies and institutions around the world in various industries achieve even the most challenging goals and unparalleled results.

    Our scientific pursuit

    Concept and history of development

In 2014 we started to design and characterize microwave optical systems. Later on, our activity became much more intensive due to the development of a prototype. The most time-consuming was the development and experimental testing of the phased array antenna with beamforming, which was carried out in the optical domain.

    Research and experimental challenges

The main challenge was the transmission of millimeter waves, where the size of connectors, antennas etc. decreases with decreasing wavelength of radiation, which puts considerable demands on the implementation itself. A set of these and other problems had to be addressed in an expedient manner. The development of the prototype then led to the experimental verification of a number of unique results, which have been published in several papers in prestigious scientific journals.

    Practical applications

With the introduction of 5G networks and other wireless technologies, the possibilities of using RF over fiber technology are opening up significantly. With both the introduction of higher frequency bands for 5G and the start of standardization of 6G networks expected in the near future, it is the convergence of RF and fiber technologies that will play an important role in their ultimate realization.
